The purpose of this component is to strenghten the institutional capabilities of MOSA - WAD, the Regional Federation of CDAs, and grass roots institutions (NGOs & PVOs) to help low income women improve their socio-economic condition. As these institutions will continue to exist and exert efforts towards the project goal after project finalization, their contribution adds the very important element of sustainability.

Institutional Strenghtening incorporates several aspects such as training of all levels of the institution's personnel in management and technical subjects; and the enhancement of their facilities and resources.

At the grass roots level, Institutional Strenghtening also involves participatory awarness raising and support activities with regard to nes possibilities for women's involment in the socio-economic well being of their communities.
